Abstract
In this workshop, the basic principles of 3D bioprinting will be discussed, and FRESH 3D bioprinting will be introduced as a platform for printing soft materials in tissue engineering. Specifically, printer and hardware modifications for extrusion-based printing will be described in detail, and use of open-source software to FRESH 3D bioprinting will be covered as part of the printing workflow. An open floor discussion of potential research and medical applications of FRESH will be held. By the end of the workshop, participants should have an understanding of the core concepts of FRESH 3D bioprinting, and be able to extend this technology towards potential areas of research interest.
